Letter from the Director of Brian Farber Pro Soccer Camp

This is my favorite time of the year when I get to come home and see all the familiar faces of the young players of Sandpoint. Having grown up here I have fond memories of the fields, in fact, I went to school at Farmin where we hold the camp each year. The camp is very important to me because I have a chance to really give back to the club that helped pave the path for my career. I had many amazing people impact my life while playing SSA and Strikers and now it has come full circle. Our goal each year is to bring in quality coaches and help teach the skills that are necessary to reach higher levels of this game. I look forward to seeing everyone again this year!

Soccer Camp Coaches

Brian Farber

Graduated from Oregon State with all Pac-10 honors before embarking on a successful career in both indoor and outdoor for the last 8 years. Brian started off his career with the California Cougars in the MISL where he quickly made a name for himself as the fastest player in the league. He is the all time points and goals leader for the California Cougars. Farber won MVP of the league in 2008/2009 by scoring 49 goals and adding 27 assists in just 21 games. Joining the San Diego Sockers in 2010, he has helped win 3 straight championships including a US sports record, 48 game winning streak. He currently sits second all time in points in the PASL. In the outdoor side of soccer, he spent most of his career with the Portland Timbers scoring 17 goals and 14 assists in his three seasons in Portland. He also played with the Houston Dynamo. Farber was all USL once each with Minnesota Thunder and the Portland Timbers.

Evan McNeley

Graduated college in 2006 with a successful college career where he was the captain at Oregon State. McNeley joined Farber on the California Cougars for his rookie season where he learned the game quickly and made a name for himself as a tenacious defender. His powerful left foot and hard tackling has taken him to New Jersey and then on to Monterrey Mexico to play for La Raza. Here he won his first of three straight championships in the MISL. The first championship with La Raza, where he then was picked up by the Milwaukee Wave. In Milwaukee, he won another two championships. Evan is one of the best defenders in the league, not just because of his tackling, but his ability to read the game and come up clutch on both the defensive and offensive end of the floor.

Kyle Lance

Graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaujee in 2003 making the NCAA Tournament 3 years in a row. Kyle was an all new-comer, 2nd team and 1st Team All Conference selection during his time at UWM and earned Horizon League Tournament MVP as a senior. Kyle won an amateur national championship before going pro and joining the Chicago Storm of the MISL. He was later picked up in Milwaukee where he joined Evan on the Wave and won a MISL championship in 2011. Kyle is currently the director of coaching for Brookfield soccer association in Milwaukee.
